I. Reading
Read the text and match the paragraphs with the titles. One of the titles is extra:

Left-Handed People


A. What have Marilyn Monroe, Prince William, Bill Clinton, George Michael and Matt Dillon got in common? The answer is that they are all left-handed.

B. For thousands of years left-handed people were treated with suspicion. Sometimes people thought they were evil. Many expressions involving "left" are very negative. Why is one righteous but not lefteous? Why is it following the Devil when you take the left- hand path? Why is a left-handed compliment an unkind one?

C. Left-handed people cannot use scissors. Using a tin-opener is a nightmare for them. Ironing is very difficult too because the cord always gets in the way. This world is designated for right-handers, and left-handers have to get on with it, or hope that a manufacturer will design a product for them too.

D. In fact, over forty years ago, a left-handed gentleman did open a special shop in England. "Anything Left Handed" is in London's Soho district. The shop was an instant success. Left-handers from all over the world came to buy left-handed essentials.

E. With ten per cent of the world as possible customers, business is booming.
"Anything Left Handed" even runs a Left-Handers Club (which unites over 2000. Members). The club promotes awareness of the everyday problems encountered by lefties.

F. In addition, every year they run an event on Left-Handers Day (August 13th) in London's Covent Garden. Right-handers are encouraged to try out left-handed implements. This gives the right-handers an idea of the challenges that are faced every day by left-handers.
